DUALIZATION OF EAST-WEST – ELELENWO – WOJI SLAUGHTER – TRANS/AMADI – GARRISON ROAD, PORT HARCOURT
Dualization of East-West – Elelenwo- Woji Slaughter – Trans/Amadi – Garrison Road plays an essential part in decongestion of Port Harcourt urban traffic links to East West Road.
The work was completed in 2012-2017 and included:
- 8 km of divided four-lane highway
- Massive underground, subsoil and surface drainage upgrades
- 40m long four-lane Nwaja river bridge
- 240m long four-lane Slaughter cantilever bridge
- 220 m long two-lane Elelenwo cantilever bridge
- Major intersections roundabouts
- Street lighting and traffic management system
