The New 52 km long Oyo - Ogbomoso section of Ibadan- Ilorin Highway is a part of Federal Route A1, Apapa Wharf, Lagos – Ilela, Niger Border - the busiest South - North Trans - Nigeria Highway.
IBADAN ILORIN NEW FOUR-LANE DIVIDED HIGHWAY, SECTION II (OYO- OGBOMOSO) IN OYO STATE

The New 52 km long Oyo – Ogbomoso section of Ibadan- Ilorin Highway is a part of Federal Route A1, Apapa Wharf, Lagos – Ilela, Niger Border – the busiest South – North Trans – Nigeria Highway.

60% of the permanent work have been completed as of September 2022. The project is expected to be  completed by the end of 2023.

Scope highlights:

  • 52 km of new four-lane divided highway
  • 1 No. double carriageway cloverleaf interchange in Oyo
  • 1 No. double carriageway trumpet interchange in Ogbomoso
  • 3 Nos. single carriageway flyovers
  • 1 No.double river bridge
  • 12 Nos. Underpasses
  • Massive rock excavation and soil stabilization
  • Extensive subsoil and surface drainage system
  • Use of polymer-modified bitumen in asphalt concrete aimed at increased pavement strength and durability
  • Median crash barrier throughout the length of the divided highway
