CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW DOMESTIC TERMINAL BUILDING AND REHABILITATION OF RUNWAY 06-24 AT MALAM AMINU KANO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
I. Construction of a New domestic terminal at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport was erected in 2001- 2005.
The project comprised:
- one level concrete frame building with block wall infills, vitrified ceramic floors, aluminum and glass doors and windows, steel trussed long span aluminum roof
- water supply and sewerage system
- air-conditioning and ventilation
- fire alarm and suppression
- electrical and telecommunication system
- security and CCTV
- public notification displays
- check-in and baggage management system
- airport security scanning devices
- external access roads, parking areas, drainage, lighting, hardscape and landscape.
II. Rehabilitation of Airport Runway 06-24, involving:
- cold milling of existing pavement
- intermediate and surface asphalt concrete courses
- associated landscaping and hardscaping
