Description:
The dam is an earth-fill structure of 19 m high and 2,750 m long.
It creates a water reservoir of 179 million m3 capacity with irrigation potential of 10,000 hectares.
The project is to provide 50% of drinking water for Katsina state and to support irrigation farming in the Dutsinma area.
